Install latest Network Manager in Lucid from PPA

Open up your terminal, and then follow the steps bellow..

In step #1, we need to add the ppa repository of network manager (daily update). Hmm..

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:network-manager/trunk

and then, update the repository indexes..

sudo apt-get update

Next, step #2, install the latest network manager (0.8.1). It will replace the current one by default, so no need to remove it manually 

sudo apt-get install network-manager network-manager-gnome
